Ideas
Principles,questions,reflections
The material DE 0 A 60 is made of. Nothing here asks you to slow down. It asks you to look before you decide.
Principles
- 01
Before you change something, dare to call it by its name.
- 02
Do not confuse the urgency others left you with the importance you chose.
- 03
Stopping is not always falling behind. Sometimes it is the only way to correct course.
- 04
Not every discomfort asks for an exit. Some demand that you stay until you understand them.
- 05
You will never have all the information. Decide with what you have and accept what comes.
- 06
Reviewing is not regretting. Correcting is not failing. Deciding again is still deciding.
Did you choose this,or did it simply happen?
Decision points
- Branch
Two possible directions. Neither guaranteed. Choosing one does not destroy the other: it postpones it.
- Obstacle
What stands in the way is rarely the problem. The problem is how long you have been looking at it.
- Detour
Changing direction is not losing your way. Sometimes it is the only way to keep it.
- Intersection
Other lives cross yours. Some stay for a stretch. Others only point to the exit.
- Reconnection
Returning to something you left is not going backward if you return as someone else.
- Turn
The turns that matter look small from the inside. There is almost never any music.
Deliberate questions
Did you choose this, or did it simply happen?
What would you be doing if nobody were watching?
What are you doing only because people are watching? Does it add? Does it count? Or does it quietly subtract?
None of these questions needs an answer today. Only attention, and whatever you decide next.
Am I living deliberately or by inertia?
